Sometimes we just cannot see…. we can’t see an answer, we can’t see a purpose, we can’t see our dream, and we question and wonder why. So many times we over think and we don’t realize we just have to get out-of-the-way.
For two years, while trying to get Sacajawea produced in LA, I came to realize I was actually there for a different purpose. It was painful and very lonely… it was lifechanging. And it ignited a new understanding in my spirit, which then became an inspirational book called, “Awakening.”
This book is a collection of words from listening, learning and wondering. Some of these words came to me as I slept… for usually I was awakened around 3 AM. I knew in my spirit there was a reason I was waking up like that, though I didn’t know what it was at the time. But somehow it gave me great peace to always have my Sacajawea script lying next to me on the bed. So, I began to write the words that flowed out, on the backs of the pages. This happened night after night.

What I came to understand through it all, is that life’s meaning is not what we think in our minds, that we must stay open to something greater at work within us even if we don’t understand, and that we have everything we need because we are reverently and wonderfully made.
